Jan Brueckner


Biography

Jan K. Brueckner is Distinguished Professor of Economics at the University of California, Irvine.

He has taught courses on urban economics, public economics, microeconomics, econometrics, and industrial organization.

Brueckner has written about property tax competition between local governments, the effects of building height regulations, how airline traffic affects employment in metropolitan areas, and whether international airline alliances benefit consumers.
